Kendra Owen-Riley has been a carded
New England Horseman's Council Western Judge for 10 years and an Open division judge for 15 years. She has carried her "1" rating for the Western divisions for 8 years and is in the process of obtaining her NEHC English Judge's card for 2010. Her past judging has included several Fairs as well as numerous Club, Affiliations, Open Breed, and NEHC "A" and "AA" rated shows in Mass, NH, Conn, VT, NY, Long Island, NJ, and Maine. Kendra continually updates her judging skills and knowledge by attending judging seminars and working with Breed Association and NEHC carded judges to ensure she is offering the most current etiquette in the show arena for all breeds and riding disciplines.
Kendra has been a competitor for 25 years on several breed circuits competing in Regional, National, and World Champion level shows both as a Youth exhibitor and then as a Professional rider from 1990-present. During this time she assisted in training and coaching several Top 10 in the Nation riders and coached a Novice Youth rider to a National Champion title.
In addition to judging, Kendra offers Instructional Clinics. She has performed clinics in Mass., Conn, NJ, Long Island, and NH and is a member in good standing with the AQHA Professional Horseman's Program. She has also performed breed demonstrations at the Equine Affaire and 2007 & 2008 Fidelity Investments Jumper Classic with the American Quarter Horse and Gypsy Drum and Cob breeds.
